There are six parks located within 1000 feet of the shoreline, including Namekagon River Fishery Area, Fairyland State Natural Area, Big Brook Fishery Area, Saint Croix National Scenic Riverway, Namekagon Lake Recreational Area, and Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. Here you can find hiking, biking, camping, and even horseback riding.

Namekagon River

Lake Namekagon is served by the Drummond Area School District, which serves the towns of Barnes, Cable, Delta, Drummond, Grand View, Kelly, Lincoln, Mason, Namekagon, Highland, and the Village of Mason. It consists of elementary, middle school, and high school, and has been recognized for high academic achievement.
