I grew up in suburban Chicago spending my summers at Teal Lake. Every year from Memorial Day to Labor Day my mom, grandma, little brother and dog Stormy all headed north for the summer. I was always anxious to leave the city for the freedom of the north woods. With my 9-horse Johnson mounted on our aluminum boat, I learned the lake. I knew the rocks, stumps, weed beds and fishing holes too!

After college I decided to follow my dream of moving to the woods to live off the land. With my subscription to Mother Earth News I had great plans. It did not take long for me to realize that living off the land was harder than what I had expected.  I then decided I’d better get a good job and indoor plumbing.

I chose Real Estate and began my career in Hayward with Muskyland Realty. A turn in interest rates reaching double digits put an end to my career after only 2 ½ years. I spent a year and a half working at Telemark, but with work becoming scarce and winter on its’ way it was time to move on…..

I moved back to the Chicago area taking a job as a manufacture representative in the hardware – home center industry. After 7 years I became a partner and spent another 8 years working hard building our company.

At 41 years old I decided there was still time to follow my dream of living in the woods and succeeding in Real Estate.

I’ve been in Real Estate sales in the Cable area since 2000 – and I have attained my Brokers license and Accredited Buyers Agency (ABR) designation.  I now work as a broker associate with McKinney Realty
